Eliran Kantor (1984, Israel) is an award-winning artist known in the music world for his paintings, which are often used as album covers. Among his clients are the bands Testament, Helloween, Kreator, Sodom, My Dying Bride, Soulfly and many others.
Self-taught, Kantor grew up experimenting with different mediums. His most admired artists tended to be animators such as Terry Gilliam, John Kricfalusi and Gerald Scarfe.
At the age of 21, Kantor was hired to direct the national campaigns for companies such as Visa and Renault, but a year later he had quit the advertising business to concentrate on his artwork and commissions for album covers, his focus for almost two decades since then.
His work was exhibited in the past in both group and solo exhibitions, in the United States, the UK, France, Denmark, The Netherlands, Slovakia and Romania, as well as in metal music festivals such as Wacken (Germany), Copenhell (Denmark) and Bloodstock (UK).
