Kime Buzzelli is a mixed-media artist working in the high desert. She has worked extensively in fashion, as a costume designer and as the owner/curator of The End in Yucca Valley, CA. She studied painting and fashion illustration, receiving a BFA and BAE from Ohio State University. Kime moved to California after college to work as a vintage clothing designer. After 12 years in Los Angeles, she landed in Yucca Valley where she opened her shop, The End – which features Kime’s art as well as vintage and designer clothes, jewelry, books and unique gift items.
She has created art installations and paintings for gallery shows in Japan, LA, NYC, Miami & others. Her passion for creating characters and spaces is found in her paintings and extends to her costume and retail projects. Her artwork has been featured in various magazines including Juxtapoz, Flaunt, Beautiful Decay, Swindle, Lula, Nylon, W, The Face, Paper Mag, Cosmo, Bust as well as books like Fashion Illustration Next by Laird Borrelli. She made a makeup palette for Urban Decay with her art as well as a line of clothes and shoes for VANS.
